Deedod worked hand-in-hand with the Campaign and walked through a product management approach that included: discovery, design, deveolpment, and quality assurance/testing phase. The site launched with a gamut of integrated solutions which entailed Digital Branding and Social media and more.

Cook for Congress came to Deedod looking for a miracle launch of a fully-formed and developed site with nearly no time to do so. Deedod came through with a flawlessly designed and thoroughly integrated solution that left the campaign in awe – with budget to spare!

Deedod was selected by the NFL to collaborate with its mobile team on the design, development, and implementation of the Mobile Web optimized version of NFL.com. Shortly after, our team kicked into high-gear and managed an intensive project scope under a tight timeline. Deedod delivered a robust solution within budget. In July 2011, before even a single infant could pronounce the name T-E-B-O-W, Deedod was hard at work and ultimately launched m.NFL.com in grand fashion well before pre-season kickoff.

Technical Considerations: Given the unique mobile requirements presented by the NFL, m.NFL.com was developed with a focus on both speed and efficiency. Using Akamai globally distributed CDN for static assets and a stripped down Yii Framework for faster code execution, Deedod’s select speed enhancements contributed to a dynamic integrated solution. The end result is an extremely streamlined site with close to zero overhead. Due to enormous traffic to m.NFL.com, this was a must.

With this gigantic volume in mind, Deedod set up autonomous server stacks and strategically placed them in data centers around the country – an infrastructure that can handle even the most trafficked game days. Deedod implemented a system that shifts server stacks to the closest location, an end result that greatly reduces page load times. In the event of a server stack receiving an unequal distribution of users, Deedod added an overflow mechanism that simply balances the traffic between stacks. ***Bottom line: Deedod delivered.

Deedod's role in the project was to develop both the front and back end portions of the site.  The site consists of a book builder that allows you to create your own book of custom love coupons from a selection of over 200 original date ideas.  For each date selected the user is given the opportunity to provide a custom text message to accompany the date illustration, additionally users have the ability to select their own cover and provide custom introductory text to accompany the book.  In addition to the book builder the site also has a method to send one off e-Dates to email and Facebook.

The project was a lot of fun as it encompassed a wide array of technologies, ranging from e-commerce to custom PDF creation for the books that are printed and bound.  Deedod looks forward to our continued relationship with Datevitation.  Stay tuned as there are several other projects Datevitation has lined up for the near future.

In order to dominate this solution, Deedod developed a custom system that tied into the website content management system that our team had previously worked on with 100 Layer Cake. This system gives the ability to add sales and a sale item on the fly as well as the setup of custom sales durations for each item posted to the shop. The Pop-Up Shop also features a fully real time sales / cart tracker that enables the user to make purchasing decisions on sale items based on inventory sold.

The Pop-Up Shop released in mid June 2012 and has succeeded in a major way. The Pop-Up Shop  produces thousands of dollars in revenue each month while also showing a steady month-to-month sales increase.

Under a strict time deadline we worked to ensure that the new branding was flawlessly distributed across the several thousand pages that encompass the USC Dornsife website.  Overall the re-branding was completed in under a week to coincide with the renaming of the college and was released upon the date of the announcement.

The challenge was to create a site that mimicked the custom design of the application, while still working for desktop browsers as well as the iPad. Deedod delivered an HTML5/CSS3 site with custom CSS transitions and the capability to take advantage of the native iPad hardware acceleration, as well as the corresponding Javascript for the standard desktop browser. Additionally, Deedod created and installed multiple sites in order for, regardless of the device chosen, the user is able to soak in the content.

The Daily marketing site launched along with the application to much hype and fanfare. With a huge success, our team was elated to be able to part of such a high-profile project.
